Scotland in autumn is magical and I wanted to capture an image of it in the style of a painting. I found this lake with all kinds of trees in a small, not very well known valley deep in the Highlands. This place captivated me immediately - it felt timeless and out of time at the same time and was overwhelmingly touching in its most honest form.
