The tranquil lake reflects the entire forest —a scene full of symmetry and tranquility . Yet, despite the many trees, a small fir tree in the foreground draws the eye. Nestled among the taller ones, it seems almost inconspicuous, yet it is precisely this tree that gives the image its quiet magic. For a moment, the forest seems otherworldly.

In contrast to Lewis, Harris is much more dramatic. Off the rugged coastline, small, emerald-green islands lie like scattered jewels in the deep blue waters of the Atlantic.
